The Chamber of Commerce of Rural Damascus signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordan Chamber of Industry today, Thursday, to expand trade, industrial, and investment relations between the two countries through their chambers and members, and to exchange economic information.
The memorandum stipulates cooperation in organizing events, economic forums, and exhibitions, working to remove all obstacles hindering the development of relations, cooperating in organizing visits of economic delegations, and resolving commercial problems or disputes through mediation, conciliation, or arbitration.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Rural Damascus, Dr. Abdel Rahim Ziyada, emphasized the necessity of working on economic integration between Syria and Jordan to benefit both parties, and to capitalize on the strong desire to enhance these relations, which prevailed during the meetings of the Jordanian delegation in Syria.
In turn, the President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jagheer, highlighted the importance of joint work between the private sectors of both countries, to their mutual benefit, and giving priority in imports to products that each country excels in.
