The Government of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq confirmed today, Thursday, a categorical denial of all claims linking the region to supporting or arming Kurdish opposition parties within Iranian territory, stressing that these reports are "completely unfounded."

Official Denial of Involvement

The official spokesperson for the regional government stated:
"The reports that talk about the role of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in expanding the war and regional tensions, and the claims that we are part of a scheme to arm and send Kurdish opposition parties to Iran, we reject them outright."

Emphasis on Political Neutrality

The spokesperson added:
"The Government of the Kurdistan Region and the political parties within it are committed to not participating in any campaign aimed at expanding the conflict in the region, and we reaffirm our steadfast position of neutrality and maintaining the stability of the region."

Regional Context

These statements come at a time when tensions in the region are escalating, with media reports discussing attempts by some parties to involve the region in border and political disputes.
