American Estimates: One Billion Dollar Daily Cost of War with Iran

An American official revealed that initial estimates indicate a hefty bill for the war with Iran, with direct military operations costing around one billion dollars daily, including operational expenses for troops, moving aircraft carriers, operating fighter jets and air defense systems, in addition to ammunition and logistical support costs.
According to the official, these figures have emerged amid escalating military confrontations and the expansion of U.S. deployment in the region, sparking a broad debate in Washington about the economic burdens on the federal budget and the American economy.
* Immediate and Heavy Losses
Initial estimates indicated that U.S. spending during the first 24 hours of the attack on Iran reached approximately 779 million dollars, while the costs of the military buildup prior to the war, including repositioning aircraft and deploying more than 12 warships, amounted to about 630 million dollars.
As part of efforts to enhance military capabilities, the administration of President Donald Trump plans to hold a meeting with top executives from major American defense companies such as Lockheed Martin and RTX to accelerate weapon production.
The Department of Defense is also working on requesting a supplemental budget of up to 50 billion dollars to cover the costs of replacing weapons and ammunition used in recent operations.
* Regional Economic Implications
The tensions have not only affected the United States but have also extended their repercussions to the regional economy;
The Israeli Ministry of Finance announced that the weekly losses to the Israeli economy due to war-related restrictions, which include school closures, labor movement restrictions, and calling up reserve forces, amount to 9 billion shekels weekly (approximately 2.93 billion dollars).
The ministry clarified that easing restrictions to an "orange alert" level could reduce losses to 4.3 billion shekels weekly.
Additionally, traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has decreased by 90%, further increasing pressure on global energy markets and threatening navigation security in the Gulf.
* Ongoing Confrontation and Armament Mobilization
Despite the difficulty in predicting the total cost of the war, sources confirm that the United States has consumed vast amounts of ammunition since the operations began, but it possesses "almost unlimited supplies," according to Trump's statement, affirming his country's ability to engage in long-term successful wars using only these supplies.
