Zelensky Attacks Orban: "He Thinks of His Belly, Not His Army"

In a powerful speech at the Munich Security Conference yesterday, Ukrainian President VolodymyrZelensky mocked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, criticizing his support for Russia and emphasizing that Europe enjoys freedom thanks to Ukraine's sacrifices in the face of Russian aggression.
Zelensky said: "Viktor Orban thinks about increasing the size of his belly, not about mobilizing his army to prevent Russian tanks from returning to the streets of Budapest."
He added: "Look at the price, look at the pain that Ukraine has suffered, the suffering it has faced. Ukrainians are the ones defending the European front."
Zelensky's remarks come amid rising tensions between Ukraine and Hungary due to Orban's opposition to Ukraine's EU membership and his continued support for Russia.
The intensity of the dispute has increased in recent weeks as Orban has ramped up his political attacks on Ukraine ahead of Hungary's parliamentary elections scheduled for April.
It is worth noting that Ukraine applied for EU membership just days after the Russian invasion, but has made no progress in the accession negotiations due to Orban's rejection of the step.
