According to an official statement reported by Sputnik, Moscow confirmed that military operations over the past 24 hours resulted in significant human and material losses among Ukrainian forces, including the destruction of combat vehicles, logistical facilities, and electronic warfare systems.
Field Losses and Strikes on Military Infrastructure
The statement indicated that more than 500 Ukrainian soldiers were lost in the operations of the "East" and "North" groups, along with the destruction of dozens of armored vehicles and military transport, as well as three supply depots. These developments, according to the Russian narrative, are part of Moscow's strategy to undermine the combat capabilities of Ukrainian forces on several simultaneous fronts.
Russian General Staff Talks About Expanding Control
For his part, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Valery Gerasimov, confirmed that Russian forces managed to establish control over 12 new towns during the first half of February, despite the harsh climatic challenges faced on the battle fronts.
Gerasimov explained, during a tour of operational sites, that the fiercest confrontations are currently concentrated in the "Center" group’s axis, where Russian forces continue their advance towards the town of Dobropolye, alongside military operations targeting the towns of Novobavlovka and Novobodgorny.
Offensive Movements on Multiple Fronts
In the context of the accelerating operations, the Russian military official revealed that the "West" group is conducting intensive offensive operations across a wide front, as part of a plan aimed at expanding field control and increasing military pressure on Ukrainian forces.
During command center meetings, the Chief of Staff of the Russian Armed Forces reviewed detailed reports provided by field formation leaders regarding the developments of the battles, praising the operational performance of Russian forces in areas experiencing intense clashes, according to media reports including Reuters.
