New Lawsuit Against Michael Jackson's Estate Accuses Him of Abuse in the 1980s

Four siblings have filed a lawsuit against the estate of the late pop star Michael Jackson, accusing him of child sex trafficking and abuse when they were minors, according to a legal complaint filed in California.
People magazine reported that the complaint was filed on February 27, alleging that Jackson exploited his fame, wealth, and influence, along with a network of employees and advisors, to groom the four siblings and gradually isolate them from their surroundings before committing the alleged abuses.

Details of the Allegations

The lawsuit includes siblings Edward, Dominic, Mary Nicole, and Aldo Casio, stating that their relationship with Jackson began in the 1980s after he met the family through their father, who worked at a luxury hotel where the artist frequently stayed.
According to the complaint, Jackson gained the family's trust through gifts and attention before isolating the children from several adults and exposing them to age-inappropriate material.

Alleged Locations of the Abuses

The 23-page lawsuit indicates that the alleged abuses occurred over extended periods and at various locations both within the United States and abroad, including the Neverland Ranch in California, as well as private homes and venues during concert tours.

Defense Team's Response

In response, the defense team for the estate has categorically denied these allegations. Attorney Marty Singer stated that the lawsuit represents a "desperate attempt to obtain money" from the estate.
He added that the Casio family had previously made public statements and written notes affirming that they had not suffered any harm from Jackson, considering that the current allegations contradict their previous positions.

Upcoming Hearing

The filing of the complaint came after the four siblings appeared in court in Beverly Hills in an attempt to reach a financial settlement with the estate, which they described as an "illegal agreement to silence childhood abuse victims."
A subsequent hearing is scheduled for early March to discuss the case's trajectory, as the defense team continues to assert that the allegations are not based on new evidence.
