Israeli media reported on Sunday that five people were killed and around 20 others were injured in a direct Iranian attack targeting the city of Beit Shemesh west of Jerusalem.
Channel 12 reported that among the injured, there are 4 people in serious condition, while Magen David Adom indicated that a 10-year-old girl is in critical condition, and a 40-year-old man is in moderate condition, along with 5 others with minor injuries including children.
Fire and rescue teams added that the building that was attacked has completely collapsed, and there are still a number of people trapped under the rubble, while rescue teams continue their efforts to find them.
Israeli authorities are monitoring the developments of the incident amid warnings of continued military escalation in the region.
