Israeli army spokesman Avi Devrin revealed on Sunday that the Israeli military operation against Iran includes a plan called "Tornado," aimed at targeting airports, ports, nuclear facilities, and government headquarters in Tehran.
Devrin explained in a televised statement: "During the operation in June 2025, we destroyed about half of Iran's missile stockpile and prevented the production of at least 1500 additional missiles." He added that Iran was producing dozens of ground-to-ground missiles monthly and intended to increase production to hundreds per month.
Devrin noted the high performance of the Israeli Air Force during the missions, emphasizing close cooperation with the United States in the operations. He explained that Israeli fighters are capable of hitting their targets accurately and executing their missions with great excellence.
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that "Tornado" includes precise bombing, aerial interception, and destruction of ground targets using guided bombs and anti-radar and ship missiles, reflecting a shift in operations towards directly targeting vital objectives within Iran.
These statements come at a time when the region is witnessing unprecedented military escalation following American-Israeli attacks on Tehran and Iran's missile responses to Israel and Gulf states.
