The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Condemns Iranian Attacks on the UAE

The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received a phone call from the Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, during which he expressed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the UAE and other Arab countries, describing these acts as a blatant violation of state sovereignty, international law, and the principles of good neighborliness.

In return, the UAE President thanked the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar for his supportive stance towards the UAE's rights.

Both sides emphasized the necessity of:
Exercising restraint and halting the escalating military escalation in the region.
Resorting to dialogue and political solutions to address the outstanding issues, to avoid further deterioration of regional security and stability.

This call comes amid the escalation of Iranian missile and drone attacks on the UAE and other Gulf countries as part of the ongoing regional war between Iran on one side and Israel and America on the other.
