Syria's women's national team participates in the first matches of the West Asian Championship.

The Syrian national women's football team under 20 is playing its first match in the 5th West Asian Championship today, Sunday, April 6, against the Jordanian team at 7:00 PM on the Aqaba Stadium.
The championship, running until April 12, includes 4 teams: Jordan, Palestine, Kuwait, and Syria, serving as an important preparatory stage for upcoming continental competitions.
The Syrian team's head coach, Salim Jablawi, emphasized the team's commitment to deliver a strong performance. The 10-day training camp in Damascus focused on functional exercises to enhance physical and technical readiness, as well as boosting the players' psychological and morale aspects. He expressed hope for the team's progress as the matches unfold.
According to the official schedule, the championship kicks off today with Kuwait vs. Palestine at 4:00 PM, followed by Syria vs. Jordan in the evening.
In the second round on April 8, Syria plays against Kuwait at 4:00 PM, followed by Palestine vs. Jordan at 7:00 PM.
On April 10, in the third round, Syria faces Palestine at 4:00 PM, while Jordan meets Kuwait in the evening.
The championship follows a single-stage league system where all teams play each other. The top two teams qualify for the final match, while the third and fourth play for final rankings on April 12.
