The organization clarified that the release came after a prison sentence issued against him about two months ago, which it considered "without legal basis," emphasizing that the case raised widespread concern about the state of religious freedoms in Qatar.
Human Rights Watch stressed that this step, despite its importance, does not address the root of the problem, calling on Doha to ensure that such violations do not recur and to secure greater legal protection for religious minorities.
