The decision by Meta, the owner of platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Threads), came into effect today, Wednesday, announcing the activation of sponsored ads within Syria after years of technical restrictions imposed on Syrian accounts.

The decision opens the door for local advertisers and Syrian companies to use paid promotion tools through Meta's platforms, marking a significant shift in the Syrian digital landscape, especially in the fields of e-commerce, digital marketing, and content creation.

This step comes as Meta expands into new markets, allowing Syrian users to target local and global audiences using official advertising tools that were previously blocked.
