Iraqi oil sources announced today, Friday, that French company Total and Italian company Eni have begun evacuating their foreign employees from oil projects in southern Iraq, as Iranian attacks in the region escalate.

Sources stated that Total evacuated its employees from its projects in Basra province yesterday, Thursday, while Eni started evacuating all its foreign employees from the Zubair oil field, confirming that production operations will continue without significant impact despite the evacuation.

This move comes after a series of repeated attacks on military and oil sites in southern Iraq, raising concerns about the stability of oil production in the region.
