The Syrian artist Assala Nasri is preparing to return to Syria before the end of March, after an absence of nearly 15 years, in a move eagerly awaited by her fans both inside and outside the country, with preparations to hold a major artistic celebration as part of the planned events on March 18.
The head of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, Mazen Al-Natour, confirmed that the syndicate is working on coordinating Assala's return and overcoming any obstacles that may hinder her visit, pointing to her status as one of the most prominent symbols of Syrian art.
Musical Preparations
Regarding her artistic projects, Assala revealed her preparations to launch a new album in the Syrian dialect, which she described as one of her largest works, featuring 14 songs dedicated to each Syrian governorate, incorporating folkloric costumes that reflect the cultural identity of each region, in a documentary artistic experience that combines music and visual elements.
Assala explained that the album took a long time to prepare to ensure the finest details, noting that this project may be her last in the Syrian dialect, with the possibility of repeating the experience in the future, and it is expected to be released between the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
A Special Visit for the Audience
Her brother, Anas Nasri, visited Syria last year to coordinate with the Artists Syndicate regarding the anticipated visit, after the originally planned date was postponed at the end of last year. Assala previously expressed her hope to return soon, confirming that she has no fears regarding her visit to her country.
It is worth mentioning that Assala recently performed the theme song for the series "Qaisar: No Time, No Place," which was written and composed by Hassan Ziyoud and arranged by Nasser Al-As'ad, touching on the pain of Syrian families who still hope to know the fate of their loved ones.
