Mai Ezz El-Din Enters Intensive Care After Sudden Health Crisis
The artist Mai Ezz El-Din surprised her audience and colleagues in the artistic community by undergoing a delicate surgery, as Egyptian media reported that her husband Ahmed Tamer revealed details about Mai's health condition following a health crisis that required her hospitalization about a week ago.
Tamer posted on his personal account on the social media platform "Facebook":
"Mai has been unwell for two weeks before Ramadan, and she was admitted to the hospital about a week ago. She underwent a delicate surgery today and has come out of the operating room; she is now in intensive care. Please pray for her speedy recovery."
It is worth mentioning that Mai Ezz El-Din celebrated her marriage to Ahmed Tamer on November 11, 2025, in a quiet family ceremony limited to close friends, including the artist Ahmed El-Saadany, and she shared photos of the marriage contract on her Instagram account.
The surprising news received thousands of comments from her audience and colleagues in Egypt and the Arab world, especially since Mai had been going through a period of isolation following her mother's death.
On the artistic side, Mai Ezz El-Din announced that her new series "Before and After" will not participate in the Ramadan drama race 2026 due to time constraints, after her last work was the series "My Heart and Its Key" which aired last Ramadan 2025.
