The Damascus Bar Association Cancels the Membership of 19 Lawyers Due to Violations Affecting the Dignity of the Profession

According to the association's statement, the committed violations included cases of professional negligence, administrative corruption, and involvement in illegal relationships with the ousted regime's agencies, which prompted the association's council to make a decisive decision to revoke their membership in accordance with internal regulations and established ethical standards.
This decision comes in the context of a new direction adopted by the Bar Association in Syria, aimed at restructuring the union body and ensuring lawyers' adherence to professional conduct rules, especially in light of the transitional phase the country is experiencing at both judicial and institutional levels.
