Syria condemns the Israeli targeting of Doha and reaffirms its full solidarity with Qatar

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic expressed, today Tuesday, its strong condemnation of the Israeli attack that targeted the Qatari capital, Doha, affirming that this aggression constitutes "a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of the sister State of Qatar."

In an official statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Damascus reaffirms its full solidarity with the State of Qatar, its leadership, government, and people, in facing this dangerous escalation that has affected residential areas where several leaders of Hamas reside, resulting in martyrs and injuries.

The ministry called on the international community to take a clear and firm stance against such aggressive practices, warning of the repercussions of the continued Israeli assaults on the security and stability of the region, and their impact on ongoing de-escalation efforts and negotiations.

This statement comes in the context of a wide wave of Arab and international condemnation, following the announcement by the Israeli army of precise airstrikes in the Katara neighborhood of Doha, amid escalating regional tensions and increasing Gulf solidarity with Qatar.
