The Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights announced on Friday that a drone belonging to the Houthis targeted two ambulances in the Al-Fakher area north of Al-Dhale'e, resulting in the death of one medical staff member and serious injuries to others.
The ministry emphasized that the attack on paramedics and medical facilities represents a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, which mandate the protection of health workers during conflicts.
It also held the Houthis fully responsible for the attack, considering it a continuation of the trend of targeting civilians and humanitarian facilities.
The Yemeni government called on the international community and the United Nations to condemn what happened and take practical steps to pressure the group to stop these violations and hold those responsible accountable.
The Yemeni government confirmed in its statement that it is committed to supporting regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace based on respect for human rights and stopping attacks against civilians in various governorates.
