The Tripartite Meeting in Amman Discusses Transportation Projects Between Syria, Turkey, and Jordan

The participants discussed, according to the Syrian official news agency, a number of issues related to improving land and rail links, activating border crossings, and enhancing regional economic integration.
Mohammad Omar Rahal, the Syrian Deputy Minister of Transport, emphasized during the meeting the importance of developing transportation infrastructure, noting that the geographical location of the three countries qualifies them to become a bridge connecting various regions.
Rahal addressed the necessity of rehabilitating railway lines, including the Hijaz railway and the Gaziantep–Aleppo line, and called for facilitating the movement of trucks across borders without the need to reload goods.
For their part, the participating parties affirmed their commitment to developing regional transportation projects and working on rehabilitating the infrastructure that was damaged due to previous conditions.
This meeting comes as part of regional efforts to enhance economic cooperation and develop transportation networks between neighboring countries.
