The General Organization for Geology Clarifies Details of the "Yara" Contract and Affirms Its Commitment to Combating Corruption in Syria

Al-Hariri explained that the organization, since the start of the liberation phase, has begun to clear the pending files left by the previous regime, including contracts with foreign companies such as "Yara", the Russian "STG", and the Iranian "Kimka", with the aim of reorganizing phosphate investment as one of the pillars of the national economy.
He pointed out that the organization has completed an agreement with "Yara" to finalize the delivery of the last plant known as the "Washing Plant", and legal measures have been taken to settle the contract under the supervision of the Central Authority for Control and Inspection.
Regarding the five plants, Al-Hariri confirmed that the stages of their delivery are nearing completion, and the organization is awaiting the report from the authority to determine the responsibilities and requirements related to "Yara".
The statement also denied the accuracy of the circulated information regarding the intervention of the commercial director in the organization, Mr. Mudar Al-Khalaf, in any of the contracts, including the "Yara" contract, and denied any functional or professional relationship between Mr. Samir Al-Assad and the Ministry of Energy or the organization or the General Company for Phosphate.
Al-Hariri concluded by affirming the organization's commitment to uncovering corruption files in cooperation with the relevant ministries and authorities, calling for not being drawn into rumors, and confirming the organization's readiness to receive any information that contributes to revealing violations through its official email.
