The Syrian Petroleum Company announced that it is closely monitoring field developments and is preparing to resume production operations in oil and gas fields as soon as the Syrian army completes its control over them, according to the approved technical and operational frameworks.
The "Revolution" Complex Under Full Control
The company stated in an official statement that the strategic "Revolution" oil complex, located in the southwestern countryside of Raqqa Governorate, has been fully under the control of the Syrian army since the end of Saturday, January 17, 2026. It confirmed that the complex represents one of the most vital points on the national energy sector map.
A Central Hub for Field Management
The "Syrian Petroleum" clarified that the "Revolution" complex is not a separate oil field, but rather serves as a major administrative and logistical center linking several fields scattered across the Syrian desert, including the Wadi Obeid field, the Bashari field, and the Safiyan field.
Emphasis on Infrastructure Safety
The company stressed the importance of handing over the fields with all their technical equipment and maintaining their infrastructure, confirming that its engineering and technical teams are fully prepared to manage the fields east of the Euphrates and ensure continuity of production and supply to distribution stations.
Accelerated Control Over Strategic Fields
The company's statement comes amid rapid field developments, as the Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that Syrian forces have established control over several major oil and gas fields in Deir ez-Zor Governorate in the northeast of the country, following confrontations with the Syrian Democratic Forces.
According to the agency, the fields that the state regained control over include the Al-Omar field, the Tanak field, the Koniko field, the Jafra field, the Al-Izba field, in addition to the fields of Tayyana, Jido, Malih, and Azraq, which enhances the prospects for restarting the energy sector and providing the national economy with a vital resource in the upcoming phase.
