The Ministry of Emergency Announces the Complete Extinguishing of Fires in Western Hama Countryside

The Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed Saleh, announced today, Sunday, August 17, the complete extinguishing and cooling of forest and brush fires in the western countryside of Hama, following intensive efforts by firefighting and emergency teams over the past days.

The minister confirmed, in a statement via the (X) platform, that the area will remain under close monitoring in the coming hours and days to ensure that fires do not reignite, and for rapid control in case of any emergency.

This step comes after a wave of fires that destroyed large areas of vegetation in the region, amid widespread public solidarity and support from civil defense and firefighting teams.
