Al-Shara Signs Historic Agreement with SDF for Ceasefire and Integration into the Syrian Army

Terms of the Ceasefire Agreement
The agreement stipulates an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire on all fronts and contact points between the Syrian government forces and the SDF, alongside the withdrawal of all military formations belonging to the SDF to the east of the Euphrates as a preliminary step for redeployment.
Regaining Control of Vital Areas
The terms of the agreement also include:
Handing over the provinces of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa administratively and militarily to the Syrian government immediately, along with the takeover of all civilian institutions and facilities.
Retaining current employees within the relevant ministries, with the government's commitment not to target SDF employees and fighters and the civilian administration in the provinces.
Integrating Civil Institutions and Securing Resources
The agreement also stipulates:
Integrating all civil institutions in Al-Hasakah province into the structures of the Syrian state.
The Syrian government taking control of all border crossings and oil and gas fields in the region, secured by regular forces to ensure the return of resources for the benefit of the Syrian state.
A Step Towards Stability
The agreement comes after intensive negotiations between the Syrian government and the SDF, and is considered an important step towards reducing military tension and the full reintegration of northern and eastern areas into the institutions of the Syrian state, thereby enhancing political and security stability.
