The Israeli army halts its advance in the city of Gaza in preparation for prisoner negotiations

The Israeli army radio reported today, Saturday, that the three military teams operating in the city of Gaza are currently halted in their positions, with no advance on the front lines or withdrawal to the rear.
The military source clarified that the army has intensified its efforts to protect its forces using reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft and gathering information to monitor any threats from Hamas, emphasizing that the shooting policy is limited to removing threats and protecting the troops.
The newspaper "Israel Hayom" quoted an Israeli political source stating that the halt of offensive operations aims to enable Hamas to begin preparations for the release of the captives, stressing that this is not an official ceasefire and does not mean withdrawal, but rather tactical improvements to protect the soldiers.
The source added that the upcoming negotiations will reveal whether Hamas will adhere to Trump's plan or try to exploit the situation on the ground.
