Syrian-Slovenian Diplomatic Meeting in New York on the Sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani met with his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York.  

This meeting comes as part of enhancing bilateral relations between Syria and Slovenia, and exchanging views on regional and international issues of common interest, in addition to discussing ways of cooperation in international forums.  

The meeting reflects the Syrian side's keenness to expand the scope of diplomatic communication during its participation in the General Assembly, in line with the foreign policy directions towards openness and activating the Syrian presence in international platforms.
