The Israeli army launches airstrikes on southern Lebanon targeting Hezbollah weapon storage

The statement indicated that these sites are used by the party to carry out operations against Israel, while the Lebanese National News Agency reported that the airstrikes affected areas between the outskirts of the Mideena plain, Kfar Rumman, and Jarmak, causing violent explosions that shook the region.
A drone also targeted a house in the town of Houmine al-Fawqa, in a new escalation that comes despite the ceasefire agreement reached through American mediation last November.
Amid the ongoing strikes, the Lebanese government decided to assign the army to devise a plan to restrict weapons in the hands of official security agencies before the end of the year, amid increasing international pressure.
For his part, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naeem Qassem, confirmed that the party will not accept disarmament, emphasizing that resistance will remain present in the face of any threat, during a speech he delivered on the anniversary of the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah.
