Syrian-Saudi Meeting in Riyadh to Enhance Agricultural Cooperation and Form a Joint Working Team

Minister Badr was accompanied by a delegation of directors from agricultural bodies, institutions, and directorates, where both sides discussed opportunities for joint investment in various fields, most notably food security, livestock production, development of agricultural laboratories, tissue culture techniques, and palm cultivation, in addition to exchanging technical and professional expertise.
The Saudi side expressed its readiness to support Syria in the fields of food security and water resource management, emphasizing the importance of focusing on agricultural products in which Syria has a competitive advantage, such as olive oil, due to its high economic and export value.
Both parties agreed to form a joint working team to outline practical steps for cooperation and to identify priorities for future agricultural projects, ensuring tangible results that serve the interests of both countries and support sustainable rural development.
