Repeated Israeli Airstrikes Target Military Sites in Homs and Latakia

In one of the widest strikes carried out in months on Syrian territory, Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes early this Tuesday targeting military sites in the provinces of Homs and Latakia.

Field sources reported that the bombardment focused on a weapons and ammunition depot inside the Air Defense College near the city of Homs, while other sites in the vicinity of the city of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of the province were also targeted.

In the Syrian coast, reports indicated that airstrikes occurred on military areas near the city of Latakia, while Lebanese media mentioned that the Israeli planes executed the attack from the skies of northern Bekaa in Lebanon.

For its part, the Syrian news agency (SANA) announced that air defenses intercepted several missiles, while no official comment was issued from the Israeli side.
