The Syrian Ministry of Education Reinstates 17,000 Teachers After Years of Dismissal

The Ministry of Education announced today, Monday, the reinstatement of approximately 17,000 teachers after they were dismissed during the previous regime, following a review by the relevant directorates in the provinces up to September 15 of this year to complete the return-to-work procedures.

The ministry clarified that this step is part of a national plan to support teachers and enhance their role in the educational process, noting that the return operations were organized based on accurate statistics provided by the Ministry of Administrative Development, where an electronic link was allocated for registering the staff and distributing them to the provinces according to actual needs.

This decision is part of efforts to reform and develop the educational system, ensure the stability of educational staff, and create a motivating work environment that contributes to improving the quality of education and building a qualified generation that can be relied upon for the future of Syria.
