The Syrian Minister of Justice, Mazhar Abdul Rahman Al-Wais, conducted an official visit to the State of Qatar today, Thursday, accompanied by the Attorney General Judge Hassan Al-Turba and members of the Syrian judicial delegation, where he met with the Qatari Attorney General Issa bin Saad Al-Jafali Al-Naimi at the Public Prosecution headquarters in Doha.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance judicial cooperation between the two countries, focusing on developing coordination mechanisms between the public prosecutions in Syria and Qatar, which contributes to the exchange of experiences in the fields of investigation and crime fighting, and reinforcing the principles of the rule of law.
Both sides emphasized the importance of developing the legal framework and adopting best practices that align with international standards, which enhances the effectiveness of the justice system in both countries, especially in light of the cross-border challenges facing judicial authorities.
The visit also included a field tour of the Qatari Public Prosecution building, during which the Syrian delegation was briefed on the workflow and the technical and administrative mechanisms adopted in handling cases and organizing files, including digital archiving systems and electronic litigation.
