The Syrian Foreign Minister Receives the New Algerian Ambassador and Accepts His Credentials

The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, received today, Sunday, the new Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Syrian Arab Republic, Abdelkader Qasemi Al-Hosni, at the ministry's headquarters in Damascus, where he received a copy of his official credentials.

This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between Syria and Algeria, and confirming the commitment of both countries to expand political and diplomatic cooperation in light of the current regional and international changes.

During the meeting, Minister Al-Shaibani expressed his welcome to Ambassador Al-Hosni, wishing him success in his new duties, and emphasizing the importance of developing fraternal relations between the Syrian and Algerian peoples, in a way that serves their common interests.

This step is considered an extension of the renewed Arab coordination path, through which Damascus seeks to rebuild its foreign relations on the basis of mutual respect and mutual political support, especially with countries that have maintained their supportive stance towards Syria over the past years.
