The Syrian Minister of Energy, Engineer Mohammad Al-Bashir, today, Wednesday, discussed with a delegation from the Iraqi "Kar" oil group ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of gas and electricity, as well as investment opportunities in vital energy projects within Syria, as part of efforts to strengthen regional partnership and develop energy infrastructure.

During the meeting, both sides discussed mechanisms to support the Syrian energy sector through the exchange of technical expertise and expanding the scope of joint projects, which contributes to improving production and distribution efficiency and meeting local market needs for electricity and gas.

Minister Al-Bashir emphasized that the Syrian government is open to cooperation with leading regional companies, pointing out the importance of benefiting from the Iraqi experience in the energy sector, especially in light of the challenges facing the sector due to previous conditions.

These discussions are part of the ministry's plan to activate investment in the energy sector and create a participatory environment with the Arab private sector, which positively reflects on economic development and service stability in the country.
