The Syrian Ministry of Defense has begun forming new military units in most Syrian provinces, including Damascus, Homs, Hama, Daraa, and Idlib. The ministry stated that a complete restructuring of the Syrian Air Force has been carried out. The ministry confirmed that the arms inventory committee is overseeing the process of dissolving factions and has reached advanced stages. New appointments have been made within the ministry to restructure military leadership in the country. Strict mechanisms have been adopted by the inventory committee to control the number of members in each faction, preventing manipulation or inclusion of fake names by linking weapon numbers with fighter names. Names without corresponding weapon numbers are referred for individual affiliation and are not considered as part of the faction's candidates. The appointments committee, led by Chief of Staff Major General Ali Nour Al-Din Al-Nasan, is responsible for appointing unit commanders and senior officials in the army, with a focus on technical military expertise. The ministry has also made new appointments to restructure military leadership in the country, including appointing leaders for units in Homs and Daraa, and assigning Abu Al-Qasim Beit Jinn to lead the Syrian Air Force. It is worth mentioning that the new Syrian administration has repeatedly announced its intention to centralize weapons under state control within the framework of the new army. Defense Minister Marhef Abu Kasra has held a series of coordination meetings with military faction leaders to form and integrate the factions into it.
