The Directorate of Companies in the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Trade announced that the number of registered companies in the country this year exceeded 18,000 companies, an increase of 9,348 companies from last year, marking a record that reflects accelerated economic activity a year after the liberation of the country.

The ministry clarified that 13,600 companies were registered as individual commercial registrations, while the number of partnership companies reached 1,526 companies, limited partnership companies 158 companies, joint-stock companies 63 companies, and limited liability companies 2,678 companies.

The ministry attributed this growth to its efforts in developing services provided to investors, facilitating company establishment procedures, and organizing their operations, along with the rehabilitation of the Directorate of Companies to provide more flexible and quality services.

The directorate had opened its new headquarters in Damascus last July, following a comprehensive rehabilitation to improve performance and facilitate business transactions.

Statistics indicate that the number of registered companies from the beginning of 2025 until the end of September reached 11,100 companies, indicating a significant acceleration in the registration pace during the last quarter of the year.
