Poll: 75% of Israelis Support Targeting Hamas Leaders in Qatar

The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" revealed today, Friday, the results of a poll showing that 75% of Israelis support the attack launched by Israel on the Qatari capital, Doha, which targeted prominent leaders of the "Hamas" movement, in a military escalation that sparked a wave of international condemnation.

According to the poll results, only 11% of participants expressed their opposition to the operation, while 14% said they had no specific opinion, reflecting broad public support within Israel for military operations beyond traditional borders, especially those targeting leadership figures in the Palestinian movement.

This poll comes in the wake of the airstrike carried out last Tuesday, which targeted a meeting of Hamas leaders in Doha, amid escalating regional tensions and angry Arab and international reactions that considered the attack a violation of Qatar's sovereignty.

This level of support is an indication of the widening gap between official Israeli positions and international stances, at a time when calls are increasing to contain military escalation in the Middle East.
