Strategic Defense Agreement Between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan: A Brotherhood Alliance that Strengthens Deterrence and Stability

In exclusive statements to "Al Arabiya English", Malik emphasized that the relations between Riyadh and Islamabad have reached an unprecedented level of depth and coordination, affirming that Pakistan will not be a party to any move that destabilizes the region, but always seeks to support peace and regional balance.
He clarified that the agreement enhances cooperation in military training, exchange of expertise, and defense technology, in addition to supporting economic relations between the two countries, noting that Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan at various stages.
The agreement was signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, during the latter's visit to Riyadh, in a step described by Saudi and Pakistani circles as a historic achievement reflecting the two countries' commitment to enhancing their joint defense capabilities.
