Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah confirmed that the Kingdom is participating in the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York this year carrying a "message of peace and justice," emphasizing that the Palestinian issue remains a top priority in Saudi foreign policy.
Bin Farhan stated in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency that the Kingdom "will make every effort to achieve a just solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent and effective State of Palestine," explaining that this path represents the way to achieve comprehensive and sustainable regional peace.
He added that Saudi Arabia, since its establishment in 1932 and through the reign of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has remained committed to the principles of dialogue and peaceful solutions, citing its role as one of the founding countries of the United Nations in 1945 and its participation in the first signing of its charter.
The minister pointed out that the Kingdom has a "distinguished history" in mediation and conflict resolution at the international level, which has made it a trusted mediator respected by the international community. He also affirmed its ongoing commitment to upholding the principles of international law and maintaining international peace and security through support for multilateral efforts.
Bin Farhan reiterated that ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and stopping the cycle of violence are a steadfast priority in the Kingdom's actions on various fronts.
