Three Qatari diplomats from the delegation participating in the Gaza negotiations held in Sharm El Sheikh died in a horrific traffic accident that occurred on the evening of Friday, October 10, 2025, near the city’s conference center.
The accident resulted in the death of:
1 _ Abdullah bin Ghanem Al-Khayareen
2 _ Hassan Al-Jaber
3 _ Saud bin Thamer Al Thani
Two others from the delegation were injured, namely Abdullah bin Issa Al-Kuwari and Mohammed Al-Bouainin, with the latter being transferred to intensive care in critical condition.
The Qatari delegation was participating in international negotiations aimed at finding solutions to the humanitarian and economic situations in Gaza, as part of international efforts to end the current tensions in the region.

The embassy also clarified in a statement that it will organize the transfer of the deceased and the injured to Doha on a Qatari plane, and that the injured are receiving the necessary medical care at Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital.
