Israeli Drone Strike Targets Car in Southern Lebanon

Despite the ceasefire agreement announced in November 2024 between Israel and Hezbollah, Israeli forces continue to carry out repeated airstrikes on areas in the south and Bekaa, asserting that they target sites linked to the party.
In contrast, Israel has maintained a military presence on more than five strategic hills overlooking the border, while Lebanon has deployed army units to the south as part of a government plan approved last August to disarm Hezbollah.
However, the Lebanese army leadership clarified that the continued Israeli airstrikes and the failure to withdraw forces from Lebanese territory hinder the full deployment process, leaving the security situation fragile and prone to escalation.
