Referral of the Main Accused to the Mufti
The court decided to refer the papers of the main accused, Tarek (A. Ali), to the Grand Mufti of the Republic to obtain a legal opinion on executing the death penalty against him, based on the crimes attributed to him.
Details of the Crime
The case documents revealed that the accused lured victims aged between 14 and 16 years, where they were subjected to direct instructions from the first accused, which included drugging them, stripping them of their clothes, and filming them. One of the video clips included a request to kill one of the victims and document the crime.
Psycho-Social Reports and Criminal Responsibility
During previous sessions, the court listened to the defense's arguments and decided to examine the evidence and present the video clips, in addition to consulting a social expert.
A psychological report indicated that the first accused does not suffer from any psychological or mental disorders, but he shows tendencies towards lying and criminal inclinations, making him fully responsible for his actions.
Role of the Accused in the Case
The investigations clarified that the case includes the main accused, who is a worker in a café, along with four others, including an instigator of the crime, the owner of the phone line used for communication, and an accused who provided drugs and medications without knowing they would be used in the crime.
Shocking Previous Incidents
The investigations revealed that the accused lured a child to a rented apartment, where he killed him and filmed the crime during a video call while communicating with a person residing in Kuwait via the dark web, in exchange for a large sum of money.
Related Cases Included
The court noted that it had previously decided to combine several interconnected cases into one file, due to the unity of the criminal project, and set today's session to rule on it and examine the related evidence.
