The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah conducted a phone call today with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, during which they discussed the serious developments related to the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar.
The two ministers emphasized that what occurred represents a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, asserting that such unacceptable actions cannot be justified under any circumstances.
Both sides agreed on the necessity for the international community to take responsibility in stopping the Israeli practices that undermine regional security and stability, and to work on preventing their recurrence in a way that preserves the sovereignty of states and the safety of the peoples in the region.
This diplomatic move comes in the wake of the Israeli army's announcement that it carried out an air operation dubbed "Day of Reckoning," targeting a headquarters of Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha. The Israeli army stated that the targets "have led the movement's activities for years and bear direct responsibility for the October 7 attack and managing the war against Israel."
