Safwat Raslan: $64 million in donations to the Syrian Development Fund so far

Director of the Syrian Development Fund, Mr. Safwat Raslan, revealed that the actual donations received by the fund amounted to 64 million US dollars, noting that these amounts were received in cash or through electronic accounts and bank transfers, which differ from the amounts of pledges made by those wishing to donate.

Raslan clarified that there is a clear difference between financial pledges that express intentions of support and the donations that have actually been transferred to the fund's accounts, emphasizing that the administration is working to enhance trust and transparency in the mechanisms of fundraising and investing in sustainable development projects.

This statement comes at a time when the fund is witnessing significant momentum at the level of national and international initiatives, amid aspirations to expand the base of contributors and direct resources towards the priorities of reconstruction and support for small and medium-sized projects in various Syrian provinces.
