The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 17 Ukrainian drones within 12 hours over several Russian regions.

Details of the interception


The ministry stated that the operation took place between 8 AM and 8 PM Moscow time, targeting drones launched by Ukraine.

Targeted areas


According to the statement, the drones were shot down in the Belgorod, Voronezh, and Kursk regions, as well as the Crimean Peninsula.

These developments come amid ongoing mutual attacks between the two sides, with Russian border areas facing repeated drone strikes, in response to Russian military actions targeting sites within Ukraine.
