Raids and Arrests by "SDF" in the Town of Al-Alyan in Western Deir ez-Zor

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched a raid and arrest campaign today, Monday, in the town of Al-Alyan in western Deir ez-Zor, according to local and conflicting media sources.

According to the sources, the campaign targeted several young men in the town and was carried out by the "Commando" units of the SDF, which brought military reinforcements from Al-Hasakah province to the area in recent days.

This campaign comes in the context of an escalating security situation in areas controlled by the SDF in Deir ez-Zor, amid increasing tension with some local factions and accusations of the presence of sleeper cells linked to ISIS.
