Minister of Information: Journalist Noor Suleiman Released on Ministry's Bail

The arrest of the Syrian journalist by the security forces in the capital Damascus has sparked wide controversy on social media. Amid calls from activists and journalists for her release to preserve freedom of expression, Syrian Minister of Information Hamza Mustafa personally intervened to assist Noor and mediate her release.
Minister Hamza stated on his 'X' platform account that he contacted Interior Minister Anas Khattab regarding the detention of journalist Noor Suleiman, confirming that the reason for the arrest 'is not related to her journalistic work.'
Mustafa pointed out that the Interior Minister responded to the Ministry of Information's recommendation to release her on the ministry's bail, with the case expected to be closed in the coming days.
The Minister of Information emphasized the ministry's 'commitment to ensuring journalistic freedoms and the rights of all journalists,' while also calling for refraining from hate speech, sectarian incitement, and working towards constructive journalism that suits the transitional phase in Syria.
He also expressed gratitude to the Public Relations Directorate, the Interior Ministry, and the security in Damascus for their cooperation in this matter.
Meanwhile, activists on social media circulated posts attributed to Noor Suleiman, published on her personal Facebook account, containing sharp criticisms of the Syrian government and strong descriptions of the events in the coast and Suwayda. However, some of them stirred controversy due to their sectarian generalizations and explicit incitement according to observers.
