Mahmoud Higazi Breaks Silence After Harassment Allegations: I Will Not Waive Protecting My Son

Days after the controversy escalated regarding the allegations of sexual harassment against him in a hotel in Cairo, Egyptian artist Mahmoud Higazi broke his silence, affirming his trust in God and the Egyptian judiciary, and emphasizing that he will not back down from protecting his son.
Higazi, who was released on bail of 50,000 Egyptian pounds, posted a lengthy message on his official Instagram account, expressing his shock at the campaigns he described as funded with the aim of destroying him, and thanking everyone who stood by him and supported him.
In his post, Higazi wrote:
"We do not know where the good is and why all this is happening... Surely God has wisdom and the truth will be revealed... And at that time, I will guarantee my rights in this world just as I guarantee my rights in the hereafter."
He directed a message to an unknown person, saying:
"Enough lying... You even lie about the academic certificate and claim to be doctors... Where is this doctorate then? It’s a lie you are trying to cover up your deficiencies with."
However, the most prominent point in his post was about his young son, indicating that the crisis from the beginning aimed to deprive him of his son, he said:
"No matter what you do, I will not waive preventing my son from traveling, whom I have been deprived of... Until now, my father and mother have not seen him at all since he was born and is now a year and a half old... He has been in Egypt for 5 months."
Higazi also stressed that his rights will be restored through the law, warning against attempts to undermine him, and confirming that he will not remain silent again.
He concluded his post by thanking everyone who reached out to him, directing his warning to those speaking about the issue without real knowledge, saying:
"God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs... Our meeting will be before God."
The case of Mahmoud Higazi remains a focal point of public interest, amidst his continuous affirmation of trust in the Egyptian judiciary and protecting his son from any harm, while everyone awaits the revelation of the truths and the results of the investigations in the coming days.
