Macron: Recognizing the State of Palestine is the way to isolate Hamas and restore balance in the Middle East

Macron stated that "the security results achieved by Israel do not justify the continuation of this approach," describing the operations in Gaza as "failed and counterproductive," pointing out that this path weakens Israel's position internationally and undermines global support for it.
In a significant diplomatic move, Macron announced that France would recognize the State of Palestine later this month, considering this step as "the best way to isolate Hamas," and opening the door to a comprehensive political solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
France and Saudi Arabia are set to participate in an international summit on the Palestinian issue to be held on September 22 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, where several other countries are expected to announce their recognition of the Palestinian state.
Despite the Israeli authorities' refusal to allow Macron to visit before the General Assembly convenes, the French president affirmed his desire to continue working with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring balance in the region.
