Trump: Starmer Agreed to Stop Buying Russian Oil

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer agreed to his proposal to stop European countries from purchasing Russian oil.

Trump stated in remarks made aboard Air Force One after leaving Britain on September 17 that the agreement with London represents a crucial step towards reducing Europe's reliance on Russian energy.

Prior to his visit to Britain, Trump had renewed his call for NATO countries to stop importing oil from Russia, emphasizing his readiness to impose stricter sanctions on Moscow if a unified stance is reached within the alliance.

During the two-day visit, he was received by King Charles III at Windsor Castle, and he held discussions with the British Prime Minister addressing international issues, primarily the war in Ukraine and relations with Russia.
