Latakia – Internal Security Foils Armed Robbery Attempt in Jableh Countryside and Arrests Members of a Terrorist Group

As part of ongoing security efforts to enhance stability in Latakia Governorate, the Internal Security Directorate in the Jableh area announced today, Thursday, the foiling of an armed robbery attempt targeting one of the citizens' homes in the eastern Jableh countryside, following a qualitative operation carried out in cooperation with the Internal Security leadership in the governorate.

The operation resulted in the arrest of the armed group members, who are:

- Rami Rifaat Ali, involved in recruiting elements for terrorist cells linked to the remnants of the fallen regime  

- Adnan Muhammad Al-Amin  

- Hassan Malik Al-Ateiri

During the raid, a military weapon was seized, in addition to offensive and defensive hand grenades, and a quantity of various ammunition that were in the possession of the group members, who attempted to use them during the operation.

The arrested individuals have been referred to the relevant authorities to complete investigations and take the necessary legal actions against them, in preparation for presenting them to the judiciary in accordance with the applicable laws.
