King Salman Hosts Gulf Nationals Stranded in Saudi Airports by Urgent Order

In a gesture that reflects the spirit of Gulf solidarity in times of crises, King Salman bin Abdulaziz directed the approval to host all citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries stranded in the Kingdom's airports, based on what was presented by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister.
According to a statement from the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the royal directive included preparing all necessary measures to host the Gulf brothers and honor them, providing all means of comfort for them, so they can be “among their families and brothers in their second country” until suitable conditions arise for their safe return to their countries, honored and dignified.
The directive also emphasized the necessity for the relevant authorities to act immediately to implement the decision and take all necessary measures without delay, ensuring a quick response and effective organization.
This decision came amid exceptional circumstances witnessed in the region, following a temporary closure of the airspace of several Gulf capitals on Saturday morning due to Iranian strikes targeting cities in Gulf countries, while those countries began taking practical measures to intercept the attacks.
Saudi Arabia confirmed its full solidarity and complete support for the Gulf countries, expressing its strong condemnation of the targeting of its territories by Iranian ballistic missiles.
It also emphasized that it will utilize all its capabilities to support the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in all steps they take to protect their sovereignty, security, and stability.
This position is part of the Kingdom's political and diplomatic approach aimed at avoiding any further escalation in the region, enhancing opportunities for peace, and consolidating stability in the Gulf.
